Today, Inigral also announced, in an accompanying press release, that it is the first service to offer real-time, event-based data integration with PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solutions 9.0, the first SIS system to offer event-based data handling according to the IMS Global LIS specification.
Inigral will be at EDUCAUSE as part of the Oracle Exhibit auctioning off three spots in the private beta for Spring 2009, in addition to having a drawing for one free spot with the added value of a carpool application on Facebook donated by Zimride. Schools are spending four billion dollars a year marketing to students, and most admissions teams are complaining that current efforts are out-of-touch and don't reach so called "digital natives." "Prospective students aren't reading marketing emails any more and the brochures go straight to the recycle bin. Meanwhile, they're on Facebook and institutions want a presence there," Staton said.
